For the 2016 GBE implemented a new manufacturing line for Amorphous core Transformers, cast resin and oil immersed available in class 12kV and 24kV
Eco-save represents one of the most strategic purpose for operators of many different sectors: the enhance in this direction is due to the need of reducing the operating costs, the introduction of new legislations and an environmental sensitivity that, in today’s different markets, give “green” companies a competitiveness edge in terms of image.
GBE answer to this challenge is the new transformers line manufactured with amorphous core, available in different solutions in order to satisfy the most various design requirements: dry or oil filled, with power up to 2500kVA.
GBE has already supplied these transformers to several installations, and particularly cast resin in Northern Europe up to 2500kVA. This shows the company’s ability to properly react to new market requirements with reliable and flexible technological solutions.
GBE, indeed, believes in amorphous transformers technology, confident that this solution will get more and more success in the future, thanks to the chance of achieving a considerable eco-save: actually, no load losses are three times lower than those of an ECO DESIGN transformer.
The benefit, of course, is doubled: on the one side the operating costs are remarkably reduced, on the other hand it considerably contributes to environmental conservation.
As for the saving, with this formula the convenience of an amorphous transformer against a traditional one is rapidly calculated:
(No Load Losses (W) + Load Losses (W) x Load Factor2) x 365 (Days) x 24 (Hours) x Cost of Electricity (€/kWh)
in the short term the major initial cost are written off and in the long run the benefits will be an important reduction of the power consumptions costs.
